July 18-19, 2012 New Energy New York, the Energy & Environmental Technology Applications Center of the College of Nanoscale Science & Engineering, iCLEAN, and the New York Academy of Sciences hosted the Seventh Annual New Energy Symposium in New York City July 18-19, 2012. The two day event featured keynote speakers Sergej Mahnovski, Director of Energy Policy at the New York City Office of the Mayor and Michael Hervey, Chief Operating Officer of the Long Island Power Authority. August 1, 2011 New Energy New York, the Energy and Environmental Technology Applications Center, and the New York Academy of Sciences hosted the Sixth Annual New Energy Symposium on August 1, 2011. Keynote speakers included Robert E. Curry, Jr., of the New York State Public Service Commission; Dr. Karina Edmonds, Technology Transfer Coordinator, U.S. Department of Energy; Dr. Pradeep Haldar, Vice President of Clean Energy Programs at the College of Nanoscale Science & Engineering and Director of E2TAC; and Dan Zaweski, Assistant Vice President, Long Island Power Authority. August 9-10, 2010 New Energy New York, the Energy and Environmental Technology Applications Center, and the New York Academy of Sciences hosted the Fifth Annual New Energy Symposium on August 9-10, 2010. The chair of the Symposium was Congressman Steve Israel, 2nd District of NY. The first day included keynote speakers from both government and industry. Keynote speakers included Congressman Israel and India's Former Federal Cabinet Minister and Member of Parliament for Industry, Energy and Environment, Suresh Prabhu. The event was held at the New York Academy of Science's premier office space at the World Trade Center in New York City, NY.

July 8-9, 2009 New Energy New York, the Energy and Environmental Technology Applications Center, and the New York Academy of Sciences hosted the Fourth Annual New Energy Symposium on July 8-9, 2009. Over 400 people participated over 2 days, attending various technical panels and an entire day focusing on Investment Presentations. Keynote speakers included Kevin Law, President and CEO of the Long Island Power Authority; Andrew Hevesi, Assemblyman to the 28th District in New York; and John Lushetsky, Acting Deputy Assistant Secretary for Energy Efficiency for EERE at the Department of Energy. The event was held at the New York Academy of Science's premier office space at the World Trade Center in New York City, NY

July 9-10, 2008 New Energy New York and the Energy and Environmental Technology Applications Center hosted the Third Annual New Energy Symposium on July 9-10, 2008. The event featured a Solar Expo and was held at the world-class Albany NanoTech complex in Albany, NY. Co-chairs for the event were Vincent A. Delorio, Chairman of the Board of Directors for NYSERDA; and Tom Birdsey, President & CEO of Einhorn Yaffee Prescott Architecture & Engineering.

July 30-31, 2007 New Energy New York and the Energy and Environmental Technology Applications Center hosted the Second Annual New Energy Symposium on July 30-31, 2007. The event was organized in partnership with the Energetics, the National Hydrogen Association, and NYSERDA, and was held at the Albany NanoTech Complex.

June 22-23, 2006 New Energy New York and the Energy and Environmental Technology Applications Center at the College of Nanoscale Science and Engineering held the first New Energy Symposium, on Thursday and Friday, June 22 and 23, 2006. The symposium, entitled Opportunities and Challenges in Emerging Energy Technologies, attracted over 200 attendees and featured a wide range of speakers on a variety of topics relating to the energy industry.
